Cheap Accommodation near Bromley
by canadianinromania
Hi all,
I have a friend who will be in London next month for a job interview. She needs 2 nights accommodation..would normally take a hostel however she needs to study at nights so requires private accommodation. The interview is in Bromley, we have found a place called c and a gibson bed and breakfast located @ 21 new farm avenue. Prices are from 25 Pound..think we can find anything cheaper?
As well, do you know of this place and the conditions? Also if there is a cheaper option with a tube station nearby this will work as well.
Thanks in advance for the great answers everyone always leaves.
Cheers
Christian

I don't the B&B place personally but New Farm Avenue is in a good part of Bromley and very central, so that's a good sign at least. I'm not sure that you'll find anywhere cheaper - £25GBP seems a very good price to me. I have some family friends who live in Bromley so I'll ask them if they know of anywhere else.

£25 sounds a very good price to me, and the B&B is well-located.

Cheaper is more likely to be the type of b&b which is used for emergency rehousing placements. 25GBP is a good price for b&b anywhere, but especially in the south of England. I suspect this is the price (others in the area are 30GBP+) because this house only offers one single room.
You will find it, and other Bromley b&bs here:

As far as I can see there are no hostels in Bromley itself.

Bromley is on Google Maps street view so if you have an address/postcode maybe you can see what the premises are like?
(sounds cheap to me!)

As it only offers one single room, I have to say it does not seem the usual run-of-the-mill b&b.
Travel Tips for London
Lots to do for free
by travellinghobos
There is so much to see and do in London, and as a visitor, you will be amazed by how much you can do in this big city for free. There are countless museums and parks that you could spend forever in - and a walk along the Thames where you can spend the day people watching is a great way to get to know the city. We will miss friends and family - the beautiful parks, the lovely restaurants, the endless stream of visitors from overseas, the ease of getting to Europe for holidays ... the list is endless!

Greenwich spectacular

Even in the most unexpected places, you can witness the most amazing sight. It is usually a matter of being there at the right moment. This is exactly what happened to me that day on Greenwich hill, not far from the observatory. The cloud layer was just right, not too thick but still there to play with the setting sun's light. And I had a camera handy.
Flag of the United Kingdom
by kris-t
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland uses as its national flag the Royal Banner commonly known as the Union Flag or Union Jack.
The current design of the Union Flag dates from the union of Ireland and Great Britain in 1801. Its correct proportions are 1:2. However, the version officially used by the British Army modifies the proportions to 3:5.

For Americans (and anyone else from a country that drives on the right) - look right when crossing the street, and if you can't remember that then look down. Most of the crossings will tell you which way to look.
