What is the cheapest method to go to Paris from Stansted London Airport

by Freelancer1000000

hi there..

i heard we have to register under one website to get cheap ticket for train/bus (London - Paris)

what is the cheapest method to go to Paris from Stansted London Airport

and what is the website where i can look into for bus or train

I don't know what you mean about 'registering with one website'.

To get to Paris by train you have to take the Eurostar from London St Pancras station.

www.eurostar.com for booking tickets.

The earlier you book the cheaper the tickets will be. You will not get them cheaper anywhere else.

To get from Stansted airport to London you have a variety of options. they are all listed here:

http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/stansted.htm

You can go to Paris by coach (long-distance bus) but it is a long journey.

www.nationalexpress.com will give you coach times and details.

Coaches leave from London Victoria coach station so, again, you will have to get into London itself from Stansted airport.

...and don't forget you will need a Schengen visa to travel to Paris.

Very good point, Hans.

Are you flying into Stansted and immediately flying to Paris? You might have a look at some of the budget airlines like Easy Jet or Ryan Air, they have extremely cheap fares if you buy the ticket at the right time. But there are some downsides to traveling with them, you may have to print out your boarding pass in advance, they charge you for luggage and their customer service is terrible.

If you are heading into London and then going onto Paris, if you can afford it, book the Eurostar. It is comfortable and only takes 2 1/2 hours plus you don't have to make your way to/from the airport as you go from central London to central Paris.

The bus would be my last choice, I did the overnight bus once and it was miserable, you had to get on and off the bus when you took the ferry from Dover to Calais and it wasn't very comfortable. But it was very cheap

Travel Tips for London

Catch a musical! We saw Five...

by jessicadf

Catch a musical! We saw Five Guys Named Moe on New Year's Eve of 1993. We met up with a group of friends (from the US), who were all in Europe for various reasons. We met up at the theater in Picadilly, then walked/trotted through Trafalgar Square, down to the Parlaiment. That way, we were there to (try to) hear Big Ben chime in 1994.

Parks and gardens

London has a lot of wonderful parks and gardens where you can spend a day walking or just sitting on a bench, enjoying nature and nice flowers. Really relaxing! Many people do running there. You can try it too:)

STUDY/STUDY/STUDY~!As with all...

by Michael_D

STUDY/STUDY/STUDY~!As with all major cities my biggest tip will be to study the city via a map and a written guide long before you jump on a plane to visit. Even trying to read during your 7 hour flight from New York to Gatewick doesnt cut it.(cramming before finals,,did it REALLY work?) There are simply too many things to see and without a plan. When you get home youll come accross names of places and look them up, realising you were just a few blocks away from it.
How do I know? My first several trips I MISSED more than I saw...I missed the Kremlin by bad luck and the entire city of Florence because I thought..'Hey I already saw Rome...it cant be any better.' UH-HUH.;-(

Speaking Your Mind

by mrclay2000

London is one of the most intense melting pots in the world. After English, there is such a collection of languages spoken here, and in such numbers, that one would think Greater London a union of small nations. You should be no more surprised at hearing 20 tongues exchanging opinions at a Tube station than you would in confronting a tiny populace of the same religion, ethnicity, nationality, or political bend marching or assembling in London's parks or squares.

amazing packing skills

by lizardbutt

bring things you need and if its not important toss it while your traveling. it will give you more room in your suitcase fold your clothes and put them in 2 gallon ziplock bags. snip the end corners of the bag off so you can get rid of the excess air in the bag. but it is really easy and gives you extra room
