Place to stay in london city

by bryanhills82

Hey m looking for some nice hotel to stay. It must be in city and should be equipped with GYM and spa
My budget is around 150 GBP/ night

Also looking for some venue for party in central London place which can accommodate 150 people

The Crown Plaza hotels have a gym, but I don't know about a spa. If you book ahead, you can get a room for less than £ 150, around £ 110.

I suggest you look at the official London tourist information site, which lists all accommodation. You can adapt your search by landmark, requirements etc:

www.visitlondon.com/accommodaion

Also check www.booking.com which is a reliable site with honerst guest reviews.

Googling 'london party venue' will bring up several specialist sites, including:

mmm? the city is the busness area of london, you mean you want to stay in central london and or the west end

Re: Place to stay in london city

want to stay only in central London. No other area suits me

Re: Place to stay in london city

I think you have misunderstood. The City is a specific part of London...central London, of course, but a particular part of it.

Presumably you meant that you want to stay in the central part of London, and not in the City?

The official site I linked above will give you all hotel info for all areas.

Travel Tips for London

Kensington Gardens

by Travelchili

There are many parks and gardens in London, one of them being Kensington. During the sunny summerdays there are many people walking around the pond and feeding ducks or lying down and enjoying the weather. Just please don't leave your litter around!! It is so sad when people don't care about that:(

What else is there to see/do in the Gardens?
* you can have a distant views of Kensington Palace
* see the Peter Pan statue beside the Longwater and the Elfin Oak
* find the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Playground
* walk - there is the seven-mile Memorial Walk, which continues through Hyde Park, Green Park and St James's Park You can reach Kensington Gardens from three different tube lines:
* Lancaster Gate (the Central Line)
* Queensway (the Central Line)
* High Street Kensington (Circle and District Lines)

St Paul's Cathedral This beautiful church has the second biggest dome in the world after St Peter's in the Vatican. In 1966, The Great Fire of London left the cathedral in ruins and it was rebuilt in 1666.

London Tip

by Koleno

London is considered one of the top cities in the world because of its culture, history and many attractions. Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, and Buckingham Palace are must see's when visiting London. However, our fondest site was the Tower of London. The story of the tower holds much of the history of London as well as the history of England.

GO shopping, London has everything for everyone, you can go to Oxford street (clothes and assorted)
Regent Street (Clothes and assorted)
Tottenham Court Road. (Elecrical, Camaras ect)
Knightbridge (Harrods) (Top designer Lables)

There are many others but these should max out your credit cards :-) I cant leave London without hitting Oxford Street and Regent Street as a lot of my favorite stores are there.

Cargo is still transported on the River

by scottishvisitor

Although most of the time you will see the tourist cruise boats sailing this tidal river, you may also see some cargo vessels transporting heavy items by river instead of road. The Thames must have been a fascinating place for boat transportation before road deliveries took over.
