Hyde Park

Just a great big ol' GREEN park where you can hang out. I think you're supposed to pay a pound for 4 hours in one of these chairs, but I'm not too sure how that all works.
But parks are where everyone hangs out on nice, sunny days. Fun for people watching.

Beware of Americanisms
by lianghh
Coming from an American-speaking background, do not ridicule yourself by thinking that London speaks the same language you do. Well, mostly yes, but just like going in any other country in the world you should learn some basics!
Working in a hotel I still get many American tourists who who do not familiarise with the foreign currency environment and talk "Dollars", or refer to the British Pound in a derrogative way of speaking ("Can I exchange some dollars to... erm... your funny currency" - Seriously, this happened more than once to me!). Also, some people believe the Euro is used in the whole of Europe (it's those tourists who think Europe is a country with Paris as its capital). Seriously, British people take pride in their coins with the queens head on it, so please pay some due respect, just as I do (although even I do want the pound to be defeated by the Euro).
Do not refer to the underground system as "subway", that's only a fast-food chain or a pedestrian way underneath a busy road. The London word for metro is "The Tube".
Fear Nothing

Amazing what you can come across in the Trafalgar underground walkways:
BRITONS!
Your NELSON is dead!
Trust not in a arm of flesh, but in the living GOD!
What said the brave NELSON, DUNCAN, HOWE?
"GOD has given as the VICTORY!"
His arm is not cold in Dead, nor shortened that it cannot Save.
BRITONS!
Fear GOD, Fear SIN, and than Fear Nothing.
