Create your own 'pub tour'. Base it on recommendations, the signs in front, the atmosphere within -- whatever you want -- but don't miss it. The lagers and ales are the best in the world and the fun of 'discovering' a great all-around pub can't be beat.I have no idea which ones I liked the best, reviewing the many pub photos I've taken over the years. However, I personally judge a pub by it's front sign -- the more colorful and charming, the more likely I am to try it. I also look for interior upholstery, preferring it to be full of over-stuffed red fabric, brass and plants. Not too much smoke...Not too many crowds....
