Due to the fabulous location Astor Court is an excellent choice for people, for whom location and reasonable rates are more important than luxury and extended hotel facilities. Astor Court is located in a quiet yet during the day busy neighbourhood just a short walk from Oxford Circus.
The hotel is somewhat dated but well kept, and the room we stayed in was both charming and clean.
Only downside is the bathtub shower facilities, which requires patience both for the varying temperature and the sparse faucet outlet. But who cares - London awaits.
In the basement there's a decent breakfast buffet between 7.30 and 9.30. Nothing cooked, but plenty to start the day.
The hotel offers internet access in the lobby £1 for 20 minutes. There is wifi availiable in the room, but the rate is a whopping £7 an hour.
Book the room through one of the many hotel/travelsites for the above mentioned reasonable rate.
I found this place from laterooms.com and paid 85 pounds for a Saturday night here. The location was ideal for me because it is close to Oxford Circus, i.e. shops and the underground! The hotel does not provide amenities such as shampoo, conditional or creams - so come equipped with it. They do provide a clean and spacious washroom, living room and bedroom. There is also a PC in the lobby with pay-per-use Internet.
Unique Quality: Spacious room! The room and furniture also had a good feel to it, in an antique way.
