Close to Tube, Quiet, Good Breakfast

The Comfort Inn at Notting Hill Gate is very close to the tube station (Circle, Yellow and District lines) and is located on a quiet side street. Granted, this was not a luxurious or roomy place to stay, but it always had hot water, towels, a good night's sleep and a great breakfast. The only negative aspect of the hotel was that, with one exception, the staff was not very helpful or accomodating. According to my husband, this hotel is a strong 2-star, but a weak 3-star.

Small but affordable

Ok, I had heard of the tiny hotel rooms in London, but when I entered mine I truly felt they were playing a joke on me. I could barely stretch my arms in this room. I thought I might be on a hidden camera tv show when I went to turn on the shower and was promptly sprayed in the face (I could hear the theme to Benny Hill in my head) This could not be avoided unless I wanted to jump in first and endure the ice cold water for the 2 minutes it took to warm up.

Unique Quality: *an excellent room for people under 3 feet tall.

* the trick shower will provide hours of enjoyment.
