A éviter ABSOLUMENT!!!!!!
by celine1359

Convenience at affordable price in London
by frederick4377
This guesthouse is located at a convenient location just outside of Gloucester Road underground station. Basic room with shower and TV. Breakfast included in the room rate. However, the walls are thin and you can practically hear another person's conversation in the corridor. But for the price you are paying in the heart of London, I wouldn't ask for more...
Unique Quality: Breakfast provided and strategic location just 5mins walk from Gloucester Road station.
Directions: Exit at Gloucester Road underground station and turn left to traffic light. At the traffic light T-junction, turn left and walk straight. Cromwell Crown Hotel is approximately 400m down the road on your left.

Fine London Accomodations For Under 50 Pounds
by Confucius
I was very satisfied with this hotel and would recommend it to tourists seeking basic ensuite accomodations. The location is between Gloucester Road and Earl's Court stations on the London Underground. Just beyond the hotel's front door you'll find a good service laundry across the street as well as a nice Internet cafe and a cheap place to make international telephone calls. Near the Gloucester Road station is a Tesco store, which you'll truly appreciate after discovering that the hotel's breakfast only consists of Corn Flakes cereal and toast. If you walk west to the Earl's Court area then you'll find an abundance of ethnic restaurants, including cheap Chinese take-away at Eastern Star. (See restaurant tip).
Unique Quality: The hotel requests that guests leave their room key at reception when going outside. I didn't have a problem with that policy and believe the hotel is safe and secure. The breakfast is only served from 08:00 - 09:30, so early risers will have to wait for their Corn Flakes and toast.
You can get cheap rates by booking online at the hotel's website.
Directions: Between Gloucester Road and Earl's Court if you use the Tube. The Gloucester Road station is closer to the hotel.

25 pounds a night
by Cammel11
If you want to be in Kensington and don't want to pay your life away to stay there, this is the place for you. You can get a single room with bathroom for 30 pounds. The place is not very clean, very 'hostel' like, but you get what you pay for. The staff is very nice though!! The hotel is close to the Glouser road tube station. 15 min walk to Hyde park and High Kensington street.

Cheap Chinese food near Earl's Court station
by Confucius about Eastern Star
This restaurant is one of the cheapest options for a good meal in London in the vicinity of Earl's Court. If you are staying at the nearby Cromwell Crown Hotel then you can take advantage of their delivery service. (Free delivery for orders of 13 pounds or more and 1 pound surcharge for orders between 6.5 and 13 pounds.)
One of the interesting appetizers on the menu is Crispy Seaweed, an item you probably won't find in American Chinese restaurants. All of the other favorites are here with over 140 choices to satisfy your craving for good cheap Chinese food. Here is a sample of items I selected from the menu for reference:
Vegetarian Peking Dumplings, 3 pounds
Shrimp Fried Rice, 3 pounds
Bean Curd with Mixed Vegetable, 3.2 pounds
Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls (10), 3.8 pounds
Szechuan Lamb with Chili & Garlic Sauce, 3.9 pounds
Squid with Ginger & Spring Onion, 4.2 pounds
Thai Basil Chicken, 4.2 pounds
Malaysian Prawn with Pineapple and Satay Sauce, 4.4 pounds
Japanese Teriyaki Beef, 4.4 pounds
Cantonese Roasted Duck, 4.5 pounds
Haagen Dazs Ice Cream (100 ml), 1.6 pounds
