Cheap Hotels?
Hello, everyone-
I am coming into London this weekend on a last-minute trip and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for cheap hotels. I don't really care where it is- so long as its in the city and not very expensive. Thank you in advance for your help!

The Regent Palace Hotel in Piccadilly is basic accommodation and very central

A marginal place I stayed at was Kings Hotel near Kings Cross tube station. It was 20-22 pounds/night. You can find it on the hostel site above, or any hostel website. I can't remember the street name, but it was ...something Square.
It's ok, not luxurious at all, brekkie is corn flakes & oj. Showers may or may not be in the room, but there are some in the floor-bring flip-flops. Not great, a cut below the cheap ones I stayed at in Paris. But it is cheap.

Hi Kristin,
My recommendation is: go to Argyle Street, Kings Cross.
You'll find plenty of (also nice) places where to stay at a reasonable price (Jesmond Dene hotel, just to mention one). You can surf the street and surroundings, and check out what can fit your needs (having a look at the rooms before, why not?). By the way, the area is so conveniently connected to everything, since at Kings Cross you've the train station and the tube station which is a stop for whatever line.
The are is not the best for dining, but who cares?
Ah, you can easily find a double room for around 40 pound, but there are also cheaper (and more expensive) options in the area (in 500 meters you'll find something like 30 accommodation options!)
