It is a bit late, but you should be able to find something.

Look at the official tourist information site, which lists all London accommodation and has a useful search engine. You should be able to find something there:

www.visitlondon.com/accommodation

Also, there's www.booking.com or www.alpha.rooms.com and www.lastminute.com and www.laterooms.com
You could also try the Travelodge website. They have family rooms. Areas to try are Bloomsbury, Earls Court, Bayswater, Kensington. Marylebone. Perhaps Victoria but I really wouldn't choose it. Depending on your budget, there's also Knightsbridge, Green Park, Mayfair, Westminster....

Try Venere.com or Booking.com for starters.

Check out my London accommodation page for some cheap rooms in central London, where I've stayed, which might be suitable for you

http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/6f35e/4b7ec/3/

and other VTers LOndon accommodation pages.
Best Wishes,
Sue

Try the Premier Inn hotels - they have reasonably priced hotels all over central London and there are usually rooms available in a few of them at quite late notice: www.premierinn.co.uk

Travel Tips for London

Money Matters

by goodfish

Bypass currency exchange businesses and use your ATM. You're likely to get better exchange rates and there's no risk of incurring heavy commision charges.
ATMs are everywhere so it's also the fastest way to access your funds.

If concerned, check with your bank before you go to make sure your card will work. I believe you need a 4-digit PIN.

The Home Of Football

by luke850

Once described by Pele as 'the home of football' Wembley stadium is one of the greatest football stadiums in the world. Although it is now under redevelopment, and the famous two towers are no longer there, a visit to the site where England won the 1966 world cup can never be a waste of time. The new stadium should be finished by 2005, so there'll be some development there for you to see.

London Tip

by gpolubes

Visiting Regent's park as well as other beautiful London's parks, you can notice very remarcable behavious of the crows - one of the the most clever birds population. Here one can distinct that 3 crows are waiting while squirrel is hiding her bag to steal it few seconds after squirrel will run to beg the next bag.

Tower of London - The Cradle Tower

by kris-t

this tower was used as a prison lodging - through its proximity to the Wharf made it rather unsuitable for this function, as was demonstrated in 1599 when two prisoners managed to escape from the tower. The upper storey was taken down in 1778 but rebuilt a century later.

How to become a cockney

by scottishvisitor

It is said in London that to be a true Cockney you have to be born within the sound of the Bow Bells - so where are the Bow Bells? Well the bell is part of the Church of St. Mary le bow. The Church was extensively damaged during the second world war & the bell stopped ringing, so technically speaking no Cockneys were born in London from 11th. May 1941 till 21st. December 1961 after 20 years of rebuilding work.
