Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)

This hotel at first looks good from outside, but then it goes down hill, first of all the staff are in dire need of a personality transplant, English is obviously not their first language we were asked to pay up front - of course, before seeing the room!
we hauled ourselves up the stairs in the dim flickering light with rickety banister rail to our room. Inside we were confronted with a spare mattress leaning against a wall a folding metal bed frame and curtains hanging off the rail.
The room was very small but did have what looked like a new en-suite, but once inside this the door wouldn't close, the lock didn't work, light was very dim, the sink had no plug, and the shelf was loose and hanging off.
The only positive thing was the room was clean and the bed surprisingly comfortable.

To Summarize :- Cheap and not cheerful.

Disgusting, has mice in the rooms. And rude.

Dirty and vile. I saw a mouse in my room and then discovered a box of poison hidden under the window.

When I reported it and asked to cancel the next two nights (I would never spend another night there again), the manager was completely obnoxious, smug and rude.

I have reported the hotel to environmental health - no hotel should be charging you ANYTHING for a room with vermin and poison in it. Disgraceful.

As well as this, the temperature of the room was unbelievable - so, so horribly hot and no way of making it cooler. The fan was broken, I had the window open and the radiator turned down all night - still so uncomfortably hot.

What a dump.

There are many clean hotels with no mice and friendly staff in London - particularly around this area. Try Hotel Lily near West Brompton tube instead - nearby and SO much better.

Unique Quality: mice, filth, rude staff, an unbearably hot room, breakfast is juice and corn flakes.
