A hovel, don't trust the fake reviews
This organization is a scam. Places and pictures are dramatically misrepresented. Shown 3 rooms. All were dirty, extremely cramped, threadbare. Management refused refund, tried to physically intimidate me to take the keys (I have this on video!) These are slum properties, don't be fooled.
Unique Quality: Great way to donate your money to thieves
I am really overwhelmed. We are staying in London for 2 nights in early July with our 5 yo son. Does anyone have recommendations of where to stay? I am thinking maybe near Hyde Park.....something reasonably priced. Thanks in advance.

I liked the Euro hotel, which is on a quiet leafy square near St Pancras/British Museum: www.eurohotel.co.uk
But, to be honest, for 2 nights you may as well simply find a hotel which suits your budget & location requirements rather than look specifically for one calling itself 'family-friendly'. Check www.booking.com , which is a relaible site with honest guest reviews.
Also check the official London tourist info site, which lists all accommodation and has a search engine you can set to search by location/landmark etc:

Or else you can stay at the Royal National near Russell Square. You can check in the site of www.imperialhotels.co.uk and you can choose one of their hotels. Enjoy your holiday :)

Maybe we need more info - are you overwhelmed because of price, activities to do with your son, transport, anything else members should know to help narrow your search?

Hi, if you tell how much your budget is we can give you more help. I personaly would not recomend the Royal National Hotel as it is a huge place prone to many school groups so a good nights sleep might be out of the question. Hope this helps.
Travel Tips for London
Magical King Arthur Tour
by Krumlovgirl
There are several tour companies that take you to Stonehenge from London, but we only found one that would take us on the whole ýKing Arthurý experience. This tour went to Stonehenge, Glastonbury (abbey and Chalice gardens), a crop circle, and Avebury. We much preferred Avebury to Stonehenge for even though we arrived at Stonehenge almost as soon as it opened, there were still a lot of people there and it felt a bit like a cattle herd. And then there are the darn ropes. But at Avebury, a stone circle bigger and older than the one at Stonehenge, you can walk right up to the stones and touch them and we were the only people there. The tour lasted all day, and although it was expensive due to our poor exchange rate, it was an excellent choice. http://www.astraltravels.co.uk/

Windsor Castle
by jamiesno
If you have the opportunity Windsor Castle is a great place to visit. If you have a long lay over at Heathrow it is just a short distance away as well so it may be managable. There is lots of shopping and places to eat in the vacinity as well. Great place to pass an afternoon.
Cuckoo Clock
by daryll
Not exactly a cuckoo clock but it still one of Leicester Square attraction as the Swiss clock.
Musical shows will start every hour and last at least about 10-15 minutes. Its nice to hear the melodies and watching the animated toys clock.
Victoria Monument
by kris-t
Queen Victoria remains the most commemorated British monarch in history, with statues to her erected throughout the British empire. It is the most prominent statue is the Victoria Monument outside Buckingham Palace, which was erected as part of the remodelling of the facade of the Palace a decade after her death.
Trees
by benazer
Not a local custom tip really, just a tree tip. As you see this tree is lucky, another plant decided to climb her and keep her warm in winter, maybe other trees are jeleous, who knows. We all need someone to keep us warm sometimes in this cold unfriendly city.
Q:First time touring my hometown "Hey guys,
My girlfriend and I are planning a few days in the city. I live near the centre, but I've never really seen it..."
A: "We often take for granted the things closest to us.
As a tourist I can tell you that I instantly fell in love with your city and rank London as one of 3 of my top..."
