Boutique Hotel Near Harrods

We picked the hotel because of the location but were so impressed with the rooms and the amenities. Our room had a large king-sized bed and a sitting area with tv. We also had a marble covered bathroom with upscale spa tub/shower and things like a lighted make-up mirror and heated towel bar. We loved that at night they would leave us gifts- the first night we got some aromatherapy oil, the next some gourmet chocolates.

Unique Quality: We really loved the location (right around the corner from Harrods and Brompton Road so that I could shop while my husband slept/watched sports/etc.). We also liked that they had an honor bar (kitchen with every drink imaginable) and two sitting areas with fire places.

Which airport? London has 5.....

Re: alone in london

sorry, i will be arriving at heathrow.

Re: alone in london

Aha!

Right, your options are listed here:

http://www.londontoolkit.com/travel/heathrow.htm

Heathrow Express is fastest but most expensive (apart from taxis, which will probably take longer anyway). Tube is cheapest and slowest (though coaches can be slow if there is traffic congestion, and there often is).

Then if you put your arrival station and hotel postcode into:

http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en

it will tell you how to get there.

Nearest Tube station is Knightsbridge, hotel location/getting there details here:

it would be nice to meet a local :-)

Re: alone in london

Why not put a meeting up on the VT Meetings page?

I'm not a London local so it won't be me, I'm afraid.....

without doubt the best combination of price and convenience is a pre-booked minicab. Much cheaper than a london taxi. For all the options see:
