    On September 27, 1995 we stayed at Heathrow overnight in what was then the Excelsior Hotel. It is now Le Meridien Excelsior Heathrow Hotel

    It was very comfortable. They offered a wonderful buffet breakfast (full English breakgast) back then and convenient transportation to and from the airport.

    Stayed here to facilitate catching a flight. Stayed for one night. Rather overpriced, not much of a hotel. Does have restaurants and basic services.

    Close/connected to Gatwick airport (North Terminal).

  • The rooms are big & clean but could do with some modernisation.

    The corridors defintely need some renovation - they look extremely drab - and go on forever!!!

    Food is definitely not this hotel's strong point - even the toast in the morning tastes like it's been deep fried!

    The pool is quite nice but the gym is pretty small with not much equipment although then again it was never very busy in the evenings so at least you can get to use it.
