You could do worse

We stayed for three nights. The room was tiny, as is usual in London's budget hotels, however, everything worked OK. The towels (not the sheets) were changed every day, the hair dryer was good (and my wife is very picky about that, she needs powerful dryers) and the staff was helpful. The continental breakfast buffet was adequate. The location is pretty good, at a short walk from the Bayswater underground station, which is the closest, rather than Queensway or Lancaster Gate, as advertised in the hotel's home page. I found that www.ratestogo.com had better rates than if booked directly at the hotel.

Modest accommodation in London

I stayed in this hotel for 4 days and my impressions are quite nice. It is clean, staff is Russian but very good and polite. This 2-star hotel offers bed and breakfast, rooms with bathroom, TV and internet connection. It is located only 10 mins walk away from London tube stations: Bayswater and Paddington.
All in all, I had a nice time there and would go there again.

Leisure Inn Hotel

Check your travel agent. It was one of the lesser expensive two-star hotels

Unique Quality: We stayed at the Leisure Inn Hotel in July 2002. This no frills two star hotel is adequate for the busy traveler. We had two queen size beds (two twins pulled together), a SMALL televison, a body mirror, phone, one chair w/ a desk, a hair dryer and a bathroom (note other rooms may not have a bathroom). The room was small for our family of four but it was adequate for sleeping. There were electrical outlets in the room but none in the bathroom. Hallways were narrow and there was a small elevator. The hotel served toast, cereal, orange juice, cheese and coffee for breakfeast. The staff (Russian mostly) is on 24 hours a day and they were friendly. Outside in the small lounge area you can use their computer to access the interent (fee is applicable)or purchase a drink from their sole drink machine (one pound!). Overall it was an ok experience. We will be sure to upgrade to a 3-4 star hotel in the future. However for adults, the accomadations are sufficient.
