The Hotel Lily was near a cousin's home, so I first heard about it as a place where my parents & grandparents stayed when they were over. It was a basic hotel.
I stayed there on my last night in the UK, picked it for the price and the fact that I knew where it was.
Walking distance to the tube station (don't remember which one, mind you), and a continental breakfast was served as part of the price. The room was actually bigger than some of the single rooms I've seen in the UK.
The worst experience I had was that the fire alarm went off and I didn't know if they were testing it, or if it was an actual fire... nobody seemed to be reacting. A little off-putting, to say the least.

Hotel Lily is a budget-friendly hotel nicely situated by the Earls Court Exhibition Centre. I stayed there for a week over new years and, albeit a little run-down, a very nice stay! The workers were always friendly and always willing to help my friends and I out and the 70's-style decor was actually a little fun. The only downfalls were the bathroom size, the less-than-perfect meals served downstairs, and the TINY lifts.
