As well as the executive apartments there is also a 200+ bed hotel.
The building looks like a sail and is intended to fit the part of in the old docks that have become the latest high rise part of London - Canary Wharf.
We were using our Tesco Clubcard points and so had no money to pay and were surprised to be upgraded to an executive suite on the 1st floor.
Very nice. Sitting room, walk-in wardrobe and big bathroom with separate shower.
The Marriott Executive apartments offers an apartment with a full kitchen along with all the amenities of a fully staffed hotel. You can cook your own breakfast or order room service. It is up to you. There is a first rate concierge service, front desk and a terriffic restaurant located in the building too. If you are on business for an extended stay or want to take your family to the East End it is the first choice.
But - We were being tourists and the location was not condusive to our stay. We spent a lot of time waiting on the DLR trains to get in and out of central London. Also, I booked months in advance and requested a pier side view. I was given a 1 bedroom apartment with a train station view instead. When I enquired they told me they would not have a pier side view for two more months. They offered me another larger room with a pier side view but for twice the price. that really irritated me but at this point I really had no choice as my family arrived the next day.
Located in the newly refurbished and bustling area of Canary Wharf. It is very upscale and clean. It is also located adjacent to the West India Quay DLR station so there are no long walks to and from the train station. Plenty of small shops and such around. Good restauranst and Pubs and a cineplex across the street.
