Good value accomodation in Earl's Court, London

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 12, 2005

Merlyn Court Hotel is a very quiet, well kept B and B just off the hectic Earl's Court Road and only one block form Earl's Court Tube station.
The proprieter, Luciana and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful
The hotel, although worn around the edges is clean and full of character.
The rooms are very tidy, everything works, the beds made up each day and there was lots of hot water.
They used to provide a cooked breakfast until June, but now only provide toast and Muesli. The breakfast is not very good. Only marmalade for your toast. If you want something more substantial, you can walk 2 minutes and be on Earl's Court road with all it's eating options including a Benjy's if you want a fry up.
All in all, very good value for your money and I would recommend it for budget travellers.

Unique Quality: It's very friendly. A plus in hectic, impersonal London.
It's very clean. Lots of hot water.
Staff is very helpful at suggesting places to go or to eat.

Directions: 1 block east of Earl's Court Rd and Underground station.
