The London pass
by sourbugger
The London pass give you entry to a range of places. if you think of London as a kind of giant theme park then £23 for a day is quite reasonable.
A few tricks when you have bought the card
1) Pick a few places that are fairly close together to be able to use the card several times in the day
2) Don't waste time using the card on places that are free or cheap anyway
3) Remember that it often lets you get to the front of the queue
I used one (2002) and basically used it everywhere I could walking from Charing Cross to London Bridge on the South Bank - had a great day.
Highlights on this card include London Zoo, London Aquarium, HMS Belfast, the Globe theatre and the Cutty Sark. Always seeing something new - if they put a new kerbstone in where I live it is exciting.

Lovely, even in winter, and some would say especially in winter (though not me). London offers something to anyone. Historical site, museums, clubbing, bar-hopping, fine cuisines and good shopping opportunities. BEST IN THE SUMMER
FREE London - Canadian High Commission
by M0B1US
If you're in London and you are of Canadian persuasion, why not drop into your local embassy for FREE unlimited internet in comfortable surroundings!
As well as there being all the usual embassy services there are about six PCs you can get your hands on in the information centre. when we were there only a couple were being used. They even let you print stuff off for free as long as you don't take too much advantage...
If you're not Canadian, never fear as you can still blagg your way in using some excuse about wanting to visit Canada or finding info about visas etc... It's convenient too as it is on Trafalgar Square, so at some point in your visit to London I guarantee you WILL be standing outside it...

Nice Day for a White Wedding
by Mariajoy
Just round the back of Covent Garden is the 17th Century St Paul's Church designed by Inigo Jones. I wasn't able to look inside as there was a wedding ceremony taking place, but the square opposite the church (not the Covent Gdn side) was full of people and pink blossom.
There is so much information on this website, please check it for more history of the church.
