Oxford hotel
by Myfanwe Situated in Earls Court just minutes away from the tube station & a staggering distance away from restaurants, bars and cafe's, the Oxford Hotel is perfectly located - just a few stops on the tube to all the major tourist attractions of central London. It is what I would call a good budget hotel, it was clean, the bed was comfortable & I felt safe being there alone. I booked a single room which was in the annex, just a few doors up from the main hotel. My room was on the second floor, up two flights of stairs & no lift - if you have mobility problems this may not be for you. The room was of a reasonable size with TV, tea making facilities, towels provided and a sink and shower cubicle in the corner. The toilet was just across the landing. The breakfast which was served in the main hotel consisted of cornflakes, toast & jam with pleanty of tea, coffee or orange juice to wash it down. Check in time is 2pm although luggage can be left in the breakfast room if arriving early. Checkout is 11am.
I booked my room in advance on the internet and paid £37.00 for one night - a saving of £8 on the Hotel listed price (Oct 2007).
I would stay here again as it is in a fantastic position for exploring the city and at such a good price for London.
