Don't expect posh! (despite the name!)

This Hotel Is Now Closed Dec 06

"has become increasingly uneconomic to operate as a hotel to the standards required by a 21st century clientele. To modernise the hotel would require a huge investment, the cost of which could never be justified given the limitations of its structure. "

"It is anticipated that the hotel will cease to operate towards the end of 2006. "

One night on the 9th floor - the room was clean but shabby - the window couldn't be opened because it was broken, we could hear everything going on in the next room 'cos the walls were so thin, the tv was unwatchable. But hey!! how convenient... we were next to the shower room and loo!.... how much fun was THAT at 3am, 4am 5am!! It seemed that the WHOLE of the 9th floor needed to go to the loo (squeaky door) every 10 bloody minutes throughout the night!!! Oh and breakfast is NOT included. DESPITE ALL THAT..... I would definitely stay there again!! It was SOOO nice being right in the middle of London.... no travelling back to anywhere late at night .... the staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms, despite needing major redecoration, were CLEAN!

Unique Quality: Cheapest hotel in Central London - and they were FULL - It seems this place is really popular.

Less is More

The funkiest hotel in London.

Unique Quality: There is nothing that could be done in this hotel that the staff hasn't seen a 100 times before.

Rough & Ready

I stayed in one of the 'basic' rooms on the top floor - what a hell-hole! Tiny room, no soap, filthy toilets miles away - BUT the hotel is so convenient to central London it's worth putting up with all this (for one or two nights only or you'll go out of your mind!)

Unique Quality: Brilliant location
Option of cheaper rate for rooms without facilities

A hotel in the heart of London

This isn't one of the best hotels in London, but it's in the heart of London and if you can do your booking online is not too much expensive and it's close Picadilly Circus. There're differents kinds of rooms depend of the price. You can find a very cheap room without facilities or an expensive room with all kind of facilities.

in the center of the action

Unique Quality: You take the tube in from Heathrow on the Piccadilly line, get off at the Piccadilly Circus stop, entrance #1, and you can roll right into the hotel lobby, you're that close! The downside is that there are no private bathroom facilities, but the shared facilities located on all floors are very well maintained. Ask to use the rare stand-up showers, and you can avoid those annoying hand-held ones which seem to be all the rage in this country!

The Regent Palace.

Unique Quality: It is a budget hotel and it has two types of rooms; the standard rooms and the Regent rooms. I would advise the Regent rooms, because they have a (very) small bathroom in the room. The standard rooms have to share bathroom with other guests.
Attention: You are in the center of twe city, so this city never sleeps; it might be noisy at night.

Regent Palace Hotel

Approx 49 GPB per night. That is approx 90US$

Unique Quality: The most qualities for that hotel is that you are very close from anything. Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Horse casern, etc... You can walk few minutes to finaly arrive to a good spot. The hotel itself it's not very luxurous but still we can have a good sleep.
