Bed Bugs!!! Do NOT Stay Here

This place is dirty and has bed bugs!! We left the "hotel" after 2 hours. My friend and I were bitten and had rashes, bleeding, welts, and painful itching for weeks!!! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This place ruined our entire vacation!!

Unique Quality: EVERYTHING HERE IS DIRTY!!!!!

A good lower middle class hotel

Hotels in London are expensive, so for me there are usually two choices: Sleep at Stansted Airport (only a good choice, if you are just visiting London between two flights) or get a very cheap hostel where you could expect less than on a Ryanair flight. Unfortunately, I can’t do that when I visit London with my Mom, so I picked a hotel which was affordable and acceptable at the same time. Rose Court was OK for London standards and somehow it just looked more like a bigger bed and breakfast than a hotel. If you don't expect luxury, it's more than just fine. Even if it doesn't look that great at first.

Unique Quality: Our room was in the beasement, so that little light went in. Maybe that was the reason for being so cheap, but it didn’t bother us really as we just needed it to get some sleep between all the sightseeing. Maybe, it was the only fault our room had: It was clean and had basic extras like coffee making facilities and TV. The typical full english breakfast was also fine, in an all-you-can-eat – style buffet. Staff was helpful, speaking several languages and very friendly. A tube station is also very cloe, so the only reason speaking against Rose Court is having too much money. It’s the perfect choice for a lower middle class hotel in a victorian house.

Rose Court Hotel

Is anyone familiar with the Rose Court Hotel near Paddington in Sussex Gardens? Received a relatively good quote of 55GBP for a twin/double ensuite, breakfast, etc. Also how safe is the Sussex Garden/Paddington area? I'm traveling with wife, infant daughter, mother, and mother-in-law. Thank you.

Try www.jurysdoylehotels.com for very good quality and value accommodation in London. I usually stay in the one in Angel / Islington when I'm there. Safe area and a quick tube / bus ride into the heart of London.

Sussex Gardens is an area of many middle budget and cheaper hotels. It's safe, and conveniently located for the West End and Hyde Park.

So long as you don't stay in Praed Street, the Paddington area is fine!
