Delightful surprise

Stayed there four nights in November. I'd read some negative reviews of the hotel before the trip but in fact I don't agree with them at all. Our room was in 4th floor with streetview. All rooms didn't have an own window except into corridor, that might be irritating for somebody. Rooms were small but comfortable, hotel was very clean, breakfast was a typical continental breakfast (bread, jam, egg, cerials). Staff was very helpful and friendly, no problem at all. I'm very satisfied and I can recommend the place to travellers, who don't except the Hilton style but need to have a nice, clean and comfortable hotel room with perfect situation nearby Paddington station. Bus stop was also in the front of the hotel. Nice place indeed!

Unique Quality: There wasn't any internet station or hair dryer, that was a little disappointment.

London ... city of contrasts ... ancient history and modern tradition, always on the cover of trendy fashions and political ideas. Exploring London is an endless attraction list, including Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace and the London Tower.

Go for a shop-till-you-drop on Oxford Street and stroll the Trafalgar Square. Experience London's night with a great choise of bars, restaurants, cinemas and theatres.

A "yes, absolutely a must" - city, which I visited several times with Miss Priscilla Presley for her movie-tour "Naked Gun", and the promotion tour of the perfume "Moments". Staying at the Royal Cambridge hotel was a phantastic experience ...

Royal Cambridge Hotel

Hi everybody,

we've booked a trip to London for next month and are staying at the Royal Cambridge hotel. Unfortunately I can't find many infos about this hotel. Has anyone already been to this hotel ? And what's the cheapest way to get from the Eurostar terminal to this hotel ?
I'm happy with every advice !

Hi Martina!

I haven't stayed at the hotel so can't answer your 1st question, but having lived in London for 2 years I can help with the travelling!...

The cheapest and easiest way to get anywhere in London is to buy a 'travel card' at the Eurostar terminal (Waterloo Station.)

They are available on a one-day, weekly or monthly basis and give you unlimited use on all buses, underground trains and trains within London. The travel-cards are sorted into 'zones' - numbered 1 to 6 dependng how far out you go. As both Waterloo and your hotel are both in travel-card zone 1 it will be the cheapest! (But if you want to tour the outskirts you may want to buy a zone 6 card. The zone 1 card also covers zone 2!)
