In 2005 and 2007 I was in a six bed dorm (and 4 bed dorm), plenty of room to move around, big windows to let in light, and the bathrooms were just down the corridor. Conditions at the hostel had not changed - still very clean, the staff were excellent, and the hostel still had that great vibe of being fun!
My only critique is that the bathrooms could be better, but they are always clean.
The best thing about this hostel is actually Belushi's Bar (the bar is at street level and the hostel is above the bar). This place is amazing, bright, cheery, everyone laughing and having a good time! To see what Belushi's looks like there are a few photos on their website.
There is also a webcam in Belushi's Bar - to check out the bar and its inhabitants go to this site: http://www.belushis.com/webcam
Another unique thing: very friendly and helpful staff - helped me arrange to get a taxi to pick me up at 4.30am (had to get a flight out from Heathrow at 7am). I'd definitely recommend staying here (if you don't mind being just out of the city centre that is).
Breakfast is also included free with your stay, both cereal and toast is available as well as tea or coffee.
Also the Shepherd's Bush tube (Central Line - red) is right across the road from the hostel and there are bus stops about 500m up the road.
