Had stayed in this hotel in early Sep 2012. Had 2 rooms - one for four persons and one for two persons.
The bigger room was at the highest floor. Note this hotel has no lift. So bringing the heavy luggage up is very tiring. Room only had an oscillating fan but no aircon ( the smaller one at the basement which had no windows had aircon). The fan was positioned above the headboard of the bed, so there were areas of the room that could not feel the draft. Room was also small and there is no lock for the door to the toilet. Wifi access has to be purchased from the reception.
Location is good as it is near the Tube station and is within walking distance (allow 25min) to the easyBus station which provides shuttle to Gatwick Airport. There are also supermarkets and groceries stores in the vicinity.
Directions: Cross the road and turn right after exiting the Earls Court Tube Station. Walk towards Barkston Gardens and turn left. Approximately 10 min
First off, I would NOT recommend this hotel.
Price is outrageously high for the teeny tiny room that you get. Although the price itself on a per person basis was on par with the other hotels on the street
NO storage
Flat pillows
No elevator
A check in process that made me feel like a criminal
Unique Quality: They were in the process of renovating, however the room we got wasn't quite finished. No mirror in the bathroom.
The lights in the hallways(which were internal so very dark anyway) worked sporatically, so it didn't feel very safe.
Directions: From Earls Court Road, you turn left, or east, and walk past all the good hotels to the end of the street, and St Marks is the one with the blue overhang accross from the hostel.
Humm I can say that for the money I paid, room was all fine apart from the tv position plus no remote.guy told us that we can have one if we pay £10 deposit at the reception, to have a remote for the tv, for acces I can that it's less than five minutes walk from earls court station. Staff attitude was alright but not great though, and of ourse my girlfriend like the small kitchenette in the room having microwave, small fridge and a kettle with tea sugar and coffee. According to my economy I might return back to the same hotel, but I won a jackpot I will not lol
