As of writing, this charming locale is no longer available for camping.
Always looked lairy to me. miles from any worthwhile public transport (242? You jest) or even the most basic provisions store. This alone in unusual in Hackney, where most human necessities can be bought pretty much 24/7 without having to walk more than half a kilometre.
Unique Quality: Hackney marshes are great for kite flying , and apparently are the largest expanse of publicly-owned football pitches in the galaxy. Or something.
