    Earls Court Cheap hotel

    by

I booked this hotel through Venere.com. It was in the cheaper range, and with better ratings than the other 'bargain hotels. Also, just a few metres from Earls Court station, so handy for the city centre by the tube.

I stayed here for 2 nights.

A short walk from the tube station. I was soon checked into my room. I'd booked a single en-suite. It was up a flight of stairs-quite shabby, and when I entered my room, the light took a few 'flicks' to finally swich on.

Hmmmm- quite shabby- the decor and furniture dated back to the 60's at least (and not in a contemporary/retro way! The curtains were hanging off the rail). A single bed, dark wood wardrobe, 'dressing table/shelf' fridge, radio (which didn't work), television (with poor reception)

En suite bathroom - A shower curtain instead of a door!, WC, small wash basin, shower. Towels and loo roll included.

    to be continued.....

Unique Quality: Within a few metres of Earls Court Tube Station, and near to restaurants/bars/shops/ Earls Court etc.

Hey there, I will be travelling to London on business week of Nov 10. Can anybody recommend a hotel in central London which isn't more than 60 pounds a night, and in a safe area? Thx!

St. Margarets Hotel in Bloomsbury. I haven't actually stayed there yet, but will be in December. They had some really great reviews on tripadvisor.com, you can also check out there site: www.stmargaretshotel.co.uk. It's right around the corner from the British Museum.

You may try checking out Holiday Inn Express.

There is a website and it is very affordable especially if you pay in advance.
