New Hotel in gentrifying East End
This is a fairly new hotel about a mile from Liverpool Street Station in a formerly run-down part of town which is fast becoming rather upscale and sought after. Straightforward rooms, straightforward breakfast, but good quality overall. Flawless service. Room was a bit narrow for wheelchair users, but bathroom was perfectly usable.
While the discount rates last, the hotel is an excellent alternative for the overpriced Holiday Inn Express in nearby Old Street. I would definitely stay here again -- get those good rates, while they last! (not very long, I suspect).
Unique Quality: I made my reservation for this hotel with Gtahotels.com and got a price that was almost too good to believe -- EUR 63 including the English breakfast buffet! I don't think offers like these will last very long, the hotel is excellently placed for the Olympic venues, Hackney is already now becoming a very hip part of town -- the new Islington so to speak. Across the street is an inexpensive grocery store, where you can buy a bottle of water for 50p rather paying double price at one of the convenience stores in Liverpool Street Station.

Transfer from St Pancras station to hotel
Anyone, any idea how much roughly it could cost to transfer from St Pancras station to Days Shoreditch hotel on 419-437 Hackney Rd London.

You can find out at www.tfl.gov.uk and it'll give you various times and ways of doing it. I did a quick search on there and it looks like it will take between 35 - 50 minutes depending on which transport you use.
