When I came to England. I always used to be confused about my meals because most of the time I was out on business trips and in the evenings finding a good eating joint at an unknown place was a difficult task. However, now I no longer face this problem due to
just-eat. Now finding a good restaurant is just a few clicks away.
Go to at least one nightclub....
by Nezza
Go to at least one nightclub. London has the best nightlife that I have ever experienced, and so many different syles of club to choose from.
Also if you are a football fan then London has many premiership teams to visit and of course Wembley - the home of football. Well as a major Tottenham Hotspur fan, I will have to say White hart Lane, Tottenham's home ground.
The atmosphere of the North London Derby (Tottenham V Arsenal) is something that I will never forget.
Also the nightclubs, going out on a Saturday night, in new clothes bought that day, then sitting outside the KFC at 3 in the morning in the pouring rain, with one of my best mates is a great memory!

I went to Leicester Square to get tickets for this musical called Les Miserables...enjoyed the musical very very much. You can get tickets by phone but i suggest you go to one of the ticket offices in Leicester Square coz they usually have discounted tickets.
Tower of London - Crowns & Diamonds
by kris-t
The exhibition includes five English royal crowns that have, over time, passed out of the formal collection of Crown Jewels. In addition to telling the stories of these five crown frames, the exhibition explores the history of two of the most famous diamonds ever discovered, which now adorn the English regalia: the Koh-i-Noor and the Cullinan diamonds.

Chinese New Year
by angiebabe
Like a lot of international cities, London has its 'China Town' where the Chinese community have a central restaurant and shopping area - and each year the Chinese New Year is noticeably getting bigger and bigger in its celebrations.
This year, the Year of the Rat, I attended the parade for the first time here, which is held annually along the Strand to Trafalgar Square, up Charing Cross Road to Piccadilly and on up further. The figures for last year were apparently 200,000 people attended the parade and Chinese New Year celebrations!
And this year, of course with an attitude that progress means increase in number of heads, the expected crowd was advertised as 300,000. Having attended I dont believe there were 300,000 and cant see how that number could safely fit into that fairly small area. But it was well attended and an excellent scedule of events with entertainment incorporating childrens and womens groups, martial arts groups from Beijing and London, and the dragon for the dragon dancing.
We happily ended the day with an excellent Yum Cha/Dim Sum at a chinese restaurant in China Town - without having more than a 20 minute wait for a table - some of the other restaurants had queues that looked at least an hour long! And fed ourselves with wonderful stuff for only £6 each. (the restaurant 'ran out' of the custard tarts we had ordered - but found them being sold out on the street for more than double the price! £1.50 each instead of £1.30 for two in the restaurant.not so impressive!)
