More about Bewley's Hotel Manchester Airport
Good value for airport area
by TripAdvisor Member ArielChicago
Bewley's is quite a good value in comparison to other hotels in the Manchester aiport area. Rooms are fairly basic but clean and comfortable and there is good shuttle service between the hotel and the aiport. Staff are not particularly friendly but efficient. There is a nice bar on the premises and a free breakfast. We have stayed at the hotel three times on our last night in the UK and have always been satisfied. There has sometimes been some noise due to construction but it has always ended in the late afternoon and the room has been quiet a night. My only complaint is that there need to be better signs into the hotel parking lot. We always seem to spend quite a bit of time circling the hotel before finally finding our way into the lot.
Fantastic Little Find!!

What a fantastic little find!! Me and my girlfriend stayed at Bewleys in June 2005 for the night prior to our holiday departure. The staff at the hotel were more than helpful even though we were initally not told how to find the room. The hotel was very easy to find and is located within minutes of terminal 2 and is walkable to terminals 1 and 3. If you are flying from terminal 2, there is a transfer bus costing £3.00 each. This is highly recommended due to the lack of pavements!!! The room was more than adequate and considering we were so close to the terminals, it was suprisingly quiet. We also booked the 15 days parking option which was brilliant. We left our car at the hotel the night of our stay so it was possible to dump our overnight bags in the morning. Upon our return into the country all that was needed was a quick 2 second phone call and the bus picked us up and took us swiftly to the car which was in a secure car park off site. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, stress free, straightforward stay prior to your holiday then this is the place for you.
Definately worth it.

Bewley's is a small chain with a hotel at Manchester airport. The room was large and clean. It comes off like an upscale American Holiday Inn...not long on charm, but everything works, the bed is firm and the shower is hot.
The breakfast was good and generous (a buffet) but be aware that unlike many English hotels, the cost is extra. If price is a consideration for you, add an additional 7 pounds per breakfast to your calculations. As it is an airport hotel, you are a captive eater!
The best part of Bewley's is its location. If you are flying out of Manchester on an early flight or arriving on a late one, this is an excellent choice. It is very close to the terminals, especially terminal 3 which is the British Air international terminal. It took us less than 10 minutes to drive to the airport, drop our rental off and get into the terminal. Outstanding. Despite its close proximity to the airport, there is virtually no noise...we even slept with the window open.
excellent value but very warm in rooms

I just stayed here on August 2nd Tuesday with my girlfriend and young child.
1st the good points following a 15 hour flight from Seattle USA, a 10.15am early check in was permitted, booked room wasnt ready but they moved us to a room that was clean and spotless, room was spacious enough.
Lunch was fine in the bistro, around £4.50 each for pannini with salad and crisps, fresh milk was freely available for infant also.
My girlfriend brought frozen food with her (dont ask why!) they allowed her to keep in thier deep freeze overnight.
Breakfast was very impressive £6.95 all you can eat, child ate for free, food was nice full English available and fruit, yoghurts etc, with fresh squeezed juices and real fresh ground coffee.
Here's a few bad points, reception staff seemed friendly enough, though I had to ask twice in person and once on phone for cot to be brought to room, infant had been awake for 20 hours and seriously needed sleep.
The weather improved greatly for manchester seemed like 70f outside , the room temp must have hit 85f we were all sweating, bedroom window opened all of 5 inches.
I had a mini fridge with me for champagne on chill and to keep babies milk cold, else would have gone sour in heat of room.
For £69 room only I would stay again due to close airport proximity, advise you take an electric fan with you as you will get very warm indeed.
I give it 8/10 hence the 4 orange spots. May be going back in October on way back to Seattle.
If room had better ventilation or air conditiong or a fan even, would have given 100%

Excellent

I stayed there with a colleague on the 22/08/05 and we were both very impressed. The usual hotel I stay at was busy but this hotel was available and at £69.00 it was considerably cheaper but it was almost as good in every way. Excellent rooms, pleasant bar, good restaurant with good food although limited choice and excellent service. On the down side the rooms had no air conditioning and were a little warm. Also when it came to check in although there were 4 people on the front desk they were all taking bookings over the phone so check in took a little longer than expected. It was a great location as terminal 3 is only a 5-minute walk away. However, I would not want to do the walk at night by myself. If you have got a lot of luggage there is a shuttle bus, which charges £3.00. I read one of the other reviews, which said that the rooms were noisy. This certainly was not our experience but perhaps this is because we were in the old part of the hotel and not in the new extention?
pillows to die for....

Stayed overnight at Bewleys, our 3rd time. It was great to see all the renovations finished. Excellent stay, especially the pillows, I was thinking of sneaking them in our luggage, but decided against it. Only reservation is the heat inside the room, no air con and it was a very warm night outside. Overall, a great place to stay.
What a find!

My sister and I stayed at Bewley's Manchester Airport hotel three times during October and were very impressed with the level of service and comfort. Their staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help us - including storing medicine in the restaurant cooler overnight, finding a place that delivered fish and chips after 10pm and allowing us to store luggage in the luggage room while we spent 12 days in Greece.
The room was spotless with a brightly lit spacious bathroom, loads of storage space with a full length mirror, a good sized TV and very, very comfortable beds with incredibly soft pillows. Coffee/tea and hairdryer were welcome extras. We were in the older section on the ground floor and it was extremely quiet.
Service in the elegant lounge was quick and efficent with nicely presented, tasty sandwiches and free newspapers and the breakfast buffet was wonderful with an excellect selection including bacon, sausage, eggs ( scrambles or fried) tomatoes, grilled mushrooms, black pudding, fried bread, baked beans, toast, fresh fruit and juices, cereals, yogurt plus excellent tea or coffee all for only 6.95 pounds.
The shuttle to the airport was well organized and trolleys outside the hotel were great for bringing luggage in and out.
Bewley's really is a gem and I would not stay anywhere else from now on. It is well situated for easy access to all terminals and excellent value for a very reasonable price.
Good Hotel

Very clean hotel, room huge and spotlessley clean, however as per other reviews we found it a bit too hot even with the window open and in november!. Also be aware that it's £5 per night parking whilst you stay in the hotel.
All in all though a very nice and ultra clean hotel though that we would stay at again and recommend.
Great airport hotel.

This is an excellent airport hotel. Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. The bathroom was spotless. The staff is very helpful. Definitely recommend it to anyone needing an overnight stay before or after a flight.
lovely surprise

we stayed here for one night at the end of our holiday having missed a connection. The hotel was fabulous. A beautiful, large room, spotlessly clean and lovely big lounge and restaurant area. If it weren't at an airport I would book in for a week's holiday! Cost was £69 for a room for 3 adults
we rang late at night from the direct phone in the airport terminal 1 because information was closed and they came and picked us up free of charge. 5 minute walk back to terminal in the morning- not worth getting the bus back because they charge £3 each!
