Budget City centre

Situated on Great Ancoats Street this handy travel Lodge is great for city centre breaks. Conveniently located within easy walking from most of the city centres attractions and an Ideal place to stay for any VT meets in Town like the Christmas markets meet.

Like with any Travel Lodge the earlier you book the cheaper it is.
If this one is full try Manchester Central which is also conveniently located

(Carparking is charged and could be expensive, check website for details)

Unique Quality: To keep prices low they do not provide shower gels and toiletries but Travelodge’s are comfortable and spacious.

Prices are for the room not per person and you can get 3 people in a family room

Trouble with hotel, HELP!

by Aerond

Hi! I´m travelling to Manchester with 4 friends to Spain this next friday and saturday and I just booked a room at Victoria Park hotel for those nights (25 and 26) but they´ve just called from the hotel telling me that there´s been a problem with the rooms on 26th and we can´t stay and the date is too near to find something! Can anybody help us? We´re looking for something cheap (Not more than 60 pounds for a double/twin) on the Apollo Theater/Piccadilly Area.
Thanks 4 any help!

There are two Ibis hotels in the Picadilly area of Manchester which usually cost around £40 per room per night. You can find them at the website www.accor.com. I always stay in one of them. Alternatively, you can try Premier Lodge - there are two of those in the area also. You can find them at www.premierlodge.co.uk.

Good luck and enjoy Manchester. It's a wonderful city!

try www.travelodge.co.uk

they are a chain of hotels and have a new one in manchester (ancoats manchester)
they are usually very basic but very clean with ensuite. TRhey are advertsing rooms for £26 at the moment. Ancoats is about 5-10 minute walk from piccadilly.
If you are going to a cencert at the Appollo, thry the small Irish pub down the righthand side of the appollo called the Apsley Cottage. The owners are very good frined of mine (the O'Malleys) they are really nice people- tell them you are a friend of mine and say hello!

good luck in manchester!

I can see why they probably cancelled out that night of the 26th. England are playing N.Ireland at Old Trafford on that day.

A cheap hotel that is pasrt of a big chain is the britannia just around the corner from Piccadilly. I have pasted the link. Maybe worth a try.

The IBIS on Portland street is OK. 0161 234 0600

The Millstone near Afflecks palace makes Fawlty Towers look good. Very cheap but most rooms have no windows. They have celing fans. And the full cooked English breakfast is always cold.
