The Wycliffe Hotel: Great hotel in Edgeley, Stockport
Great hotel! Staff is very friendly and always more than happy to answer your questions. Room was very comfortable and very clean and even had a flat screen tv on the wall! Breakfast very good and served hot! Our room was equipped with a hairdryer and also had tea and coffee makings and small packs of cookies. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone as a great place to stay not only for the Manchester area but for anyone who wanted to take day trips out. We even plan on staying there again in March when we go back to England.
I asked a lot of questions via email before our arrival and Maureen was always quick to answer and always very happy too. We met her after we arrived and both she and Shelia, the housekeeper, were very nice! We even asked to leave a fan for my best friend to pick up the day we left and they were more than happy to let me leave it for her to get later.

Hilton Moorside: For Business Alone
I really loved the surrounding countryside. Staff was a little chilly but thorough - I felt like it might have been a bit expensive for what I got out it in the end.
There's not too much to say about a chain hotel - - if you are coming to Stockport on business, come here. You have conference rooms, business center, internet, etc.
Chill out when it's warm enough at the pool or work out a bit.
