Moving to Basingstoke!

by Explore

What is Basingstoke like to live for a young person? Would you recommend Basingstoke as a place of work? Are there sufficient amenities, events for young people to do there after work or is it a quiet area?

Thanks

I'm afraid that moving to Basingstoke could be construed as a cruel and unusual punishment for a teenager.

A recent book listing the worst towns in the UK placed Basingstoke at No 10.

However, these sardonic rascals have ruffled the civic pride of many burghers up and down the country with their rude observations. Some of the locals who are rather are keen to rush to its defence.

It is, I'm afraid it is a fact that London is surrounded by 'overspill' towns where the social possibilities for young people are not the best.

I have to say Basingstoke is full of imbreds!!! Though my brother (unfortuantly for him) moved to Bstoke and has made a good go of it, he has a nice flat and a good job, so just pick the area you move to carefully!
Nightlife I cant judge on im from Alton for gods sake we have one club so anywhere other than here is great.
