Hythe is the perfect place to watch the big cruise-ships coming into the port of Southampton and the docks, where all of the CUNARD-Liners will be docked are almost opposite of the Hythe-pier, but the very best way to get close to the giant ships is to take the Hythe-ferry, that will pass by in just a very short distance, the best view will be on the ferry-tour from Hythe to Southampton, while from Southampton to Hythe the ferry is going in quite a distance to the giant oceanliners.
On my photographs 1-4 you will see the QE II in short distance, all these pics were taken on the way from Hythe to Southampton, just the 5th photo on the way to Hythe.
A returnticket is 4,50 GBP for the ferry.
