We have not been there yet, I'm writing this after a forum tip.
WE needed to spend a night in Portsmouth in a very tight bidget, I thought it would be expensive because of veing a saturday night.
Through the forum reply plus a members page tip (kevin36), I looked up
the Travelodge and they have rooms on the special offer for £39 the room, and I found it great, especially as it is a saturday night, I thought it would be a lot more.
This price is for a booking in early June, the savers room (non refundable) have prices as little as £19 per room depending on the season, I would think.
The one great thing I found about this is that, unlike many hotels & B&B s in the UK, they charge per room and not per person.
Will do a write up on this when we get back.
Like most Travelodges I have stayed in,they are comfortable and very reasonably priced, one thing to look out for is the super saver roomsyou can get rooms for as little as £15 per night.
I have never had a problem with Travelodges they might not be 5***** but for the price I think they are very good.
The prices are for the room and not per person like some Hotels.
Unique Quality: Reasonable prices, comfortable, and normally with good links to major roads.
Directions: Follow M27 and then M275 towards the north end of Portsmouth town centre and Continental Ferries, at the Rudemore roundabout take second exit into Kingston Crescent. The Travelodge is on the right.
