Grove Farm: Best farm house experience in the UK
This is a working farm complete with 500+pigs, cattle and sheep,2 horses, chickens and ducks plus cats and 3 intelligent and lovable dogs. They also have orchards growing apple trees for cider.Farmer Tim and wife Fiona were very hospitable and we had very comfortable ensuite rooms. Everything worked and our host and hostess were very attentive to all our needs.Fiona despite being the busy farmer's wife, even took us on a tour of her farm.We stayed here for 2 nights. would have loved to stay here for a week.
Great for families with kids. Fiona makes best steak and kidney pies! If you are too tired to walk down to the pub for a meal in the evenings, Fiona can fix you a hearty meal in a jiffy. They have a farm shop and a tea room. Tuesday lunches are specials for those 50 years and above.
