Considering the Shaftesbury Metropolis London Hyde Park in England?

The oldest pub in England by uberteacher
Go to Nottingham. Visit Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem which is the oldest pub (as is rumored) in England because it was built in the 1100s, 1196 I think. Also see Mortimer's Hole, but be warned that it is kind of claustophobic. Walk around the little town afterward since it is quite lovely all on its own.My best memory is of ordering margaritas at a "Mexican" restaurant in London and paying about $40.00 for the privilege. After that, we went for a fantastic Indian meal, during which my husband bragged to the waiter of being an "English Texan" and therefore able to handle very extra hot vindaloo. In the end, his face turned red, he began to sweat profusely, and was on the "loo" for many hours afterward.
