    Historic old hotel

I have never stayed here as I live locally but I include this to provide a comprehensive guide to Beverley.
The website link carries details of the hotel.

A bit of luxury in Beverley

    by

A former coaching Inn that dates to the Georgian period.

I used top enjoy a drink in the bar of this hotel away fromm the hustle and bustle of the other town pubs.

They also serve a nice pot of tea.

    Unique Quality: Quiet & relaxing.

Directions: Opposite St Mary's church in the centre of town.

Breakneck guide to dining & coffee in Beverley...

by Orbital_ about Various...

Briefly... 'Kahn's' is good for curry (North Bar Without), 'Pizza Express' (North Bar Within) is the reliable option for a good quality sit-down pizza and attracts a nice crowd. The comparitively new 'Blue Pelican' (diagonally opposite the bus station) I hear is good quality but very expensive (yet to go there!), and the 'Valencia' (near the Rail Station) does decent (but not spectacular) Italian fare. Otherwise most of the pubs do satisfactory, er, pub-food, but generally nothing to write home about. You're better off heading to one of the village pubs such as the 'Ferguson & Fawsit' in nearby Walkington if you want good quality 'tradtitional' cuisine. 'The Corner House' opposite the 'Pelican is good for lunch and coffee, as is the new place 'Courts' also near the bus station. 'The Atrium' on Toll Gavel (near Wilkinson's hardware store) is another good coffee option, also 'Smorebrod' near the tourist Information office. Most of the other cafes in the town are aimed squarely at the wrinkly-hairnet-tea-and-scones crowd. Very posh option is the Beverley Arms Hotel if you're into the hotel-dining thing.
