A good choice
My few nights at the Kentmere were comfortable and affordable. The host (Rob?) was very helpful in getting my car situated and my luggage stowed, even though I had arrived early and inconvenienced him. The Kentmere is not a luxury stay, but the rooms are clean and en-suite. Breakfast was good - hot and quickly prepared. It's a few long blocks to downtown and even further from the water, but still reasonably located. They were good about my late entries at night. My fellow guests were outstanding people. Very memorable.
Unique Quality: Victorian styling, easy access. It ain't the Waldforf, but it'll do.
