The castleLeeds Castle
This is one of England's most beautiful castles. It is situated on two tiny islands on the river about 10km from Maidstone. i didn't go to the town itself but from what I heard, I didn't miss much.
The castle is very well preserved, you can see the impressing interior, there are several buildings, a maze, a grotto, an aviary and a beautiful park. You can see many black swans swimming proudly in the river.
I noticed a golf course right next to the castle grounds and I know that there are hot-air baloon shows although we didn't witness one.
