Ramsgate
"I live here"
Ramsgate is an English seaside town with ferry links to Ostend in Belgium as well as a Yachting Marina.
Historically it has been a centre for imports of Cod and Herring, Baltic timber, Cars as well as one of the ports used for embarking troops to Waterloo and receiving troops back after Dunkirk.
It is a very cosmopolitan town with many diverse ethnic groups besides the English. We have French, German, Dutch, Russian, Kurdish, Turkish, Greek, Chinese, Polish and Thais all having a presence in the town and these are boosted in Summer by students from many countries studying English at the Language Schools here.
