Part of the Premier Inn chain and only opened in October 2010, as far as I’m concerned these hotels offer good value with the added bonus of having a steak house type restaurant and bar within the building which alleviates the necessity of driving and not being able to partake in the occasional beer.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn, which was about 3 miles south of the centre of Rochester next to a small airport.
The hotel was very good, breakfast was buffer style, with a choice of a full english breakfast of a continental breakfast.
The historic Chatham Dockyards, which was undergoing a huge restoration project when we were there is 5 miles away.
There was an indoor swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool which was for hotel guests and also members.
There is free parking. One restaurant and 24 hour room service.
Prices on average are approximately £30 per person per night.
