Church Gates, Cranbrook, Kent UK: B and B in a fabulous setting

A lovely historic house on the edge of the churchyard in pretty Cranbrook, close to Sissinghurst Castle Garden and Great Dixter Garden, making an ideal base to explore the countryside, gardens and castles of the lovely Kent and Sussex Weald. Fabulous breakfast served in true english style on blue and white china around a huge oak table with truly excellent food.

We also visited Rye and Tenterden, which are pretty towns like Cranbrook, with lots of interesting buildings and shops. Particularly good for browsing the antique shops.

Historic accommodation dating back to tudor times offers a fascinating glimpse of english history. Beautiful inglenook fireplaces, beamed ceilings and wood panelling and lovely views over the churchyard. A stunning spacious ensuite bathroom with free standing bath. Relaxed and informal ambience created by the hosts.
