The Opera House
by Mariajoy
The Opera House must have once been a grand place frequented by well-to-do, patrons of the arts of Tunbridge Wells - but is now a Weatherspoons (chain) pub/restaurant. C'est la vie.

A quick look at Tunbridge Wells

" Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England "
I spent just a few hours in this town while killing some time before turning in our rental car and heading back to London that evening. We shopped along the Pantiles, an ancient cobbled street, drank the water in their mineral spring (got a bit of a puckered mouth from that!), and had afternoon tea at a cute little tea shop. I had expected a little more quaintness (ok, touristy look!) after reading literature about it, but it was very pleasant for a couple hours' stroll. There's a parking lot right near the Pantiles (follow the signs in town to lead you there).
