I have been researching information on blackpool it seems like a good place to visit.
What are you wanting to do there? i would say that it mainly attracts young groups of people who go there on weekends away i.e. stag/hen nights/ birthdays etc.
We went in October last year for a friends birthday and it was good for the night, went to the Pleasure Beach (rollercoasters) went shopping and then out on the drink at night, it's cheap and cheerful!
Theres Blackpool Tower, the Pleasure Beach, Zoo, 3 piers,and shopping. Try going south to St Anns, Lytham and Fairgaven Lake.
Blackpool is also famous for it's rock. It comes in many different flavours, sizes and colours and shapes, like dummies and false teeth. Try some if your teeth can stand up to it. In some shops you can even see it being made in front of you.
My particular favourite is the traditional mint flavoured rock.
