Blackpool Pleasure beach has been featured on the TV. They now have a security scanner in case of offensive weapons and bombs, although it?s advisable to use the complaints office instead of blowing it up. There are many rides in the Pleasure beach & you can purchase tickets or wristbands to have unlimited rides & to see the shows like Hot Ice, Eclipse and Mystique. You can also ride the Pepsi Max which is England?s biggest roller coaster. 235ft high & over one mile of winding & turning at speeds of up to 87mph. Stomach churning the ride is spectacularly lit up at night & dominates the whole park. There?s also a wooden roller coaster built in 1935 called the Grand National. No horsing around here, height restriction: 46"/117cm.Other rides include:
BLING - a knuckle experience for riders as they are lifted a monstrous 100 feet above the ground & spun through the air on giant glittering gondolas in three different directions at speeds of 60mph as the ride pulls 2.5gs.
Spin Doctor - The £1 million Spin Doctor at Blackpool Pleasure Beach consists of two revolving ?propellers? which twirl riders 360 degrees through the air to 120 feet at speeds of over 60 mph.
Ice Blast - The first of its kind in the UK, Ice Blast shoots riders upright up a 210 foot tower at 80mph & back again for an unbelievable hair raising free-fall descent.
Space Invader 2 - A roller coaster with a difference. Fly through outer space in near total darkness. The ride is undercover.
Wild Mouse - Not for the scardy cats! This terrifying ride earns it's name. Down unbelievably sheer drops, up hills & whizzing round a endless array of bends. One of only 3 remaining wooden Wild Mouse rides remaining in the world.
There?s over 35 places to eat, & lot?s of shops. The Pleasure Beach has several closing times depending on when you go.
