Terrible hotel

Noticed bad feedback and thought people tend to moan anyway ,so I ignored them as thought this hotel will prob be good as they will have made an effort to get good feedback , I stayed there in April 2012 last weekend , place is horrible with rude staff , food is disgusting and a health hazard , carpets and fixtures and fittings old, kitchen had a warning sign on door , the rooms are small but clean sheets and towels beds comfy , no heating or hot water or tv and no one interested,so just like me take the gamble and see for yourself , could be a great hotel if someone cared about it and the guests as its in a good location

Unique Quality: Good views if sea view room
Good location
Beds comfy

Great Entertainment

After reading previous reviews on this hotel, I was a bit wary. However I was recommended by some friends to ignore the out of date reviews which I had read on this site and see for myself. I stayed with 3 friends of mine in March and had a fantastic time. The Hotel is now under new Management and is currently being refurbished. The Staff were very polite and helpful and the entertainment in the evenings was excellent. We all sang on the Karaoke (over 30,000 songs to choose from) and joined in the quiz and bingo. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who likes to go away and let their hair down and have some good old fashioned fun.

WHEN WE ARRIVED I SAID LETS FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE, THE HOTEL DIDNT LOOK ANYWHERE
LIKE THE PHOTO THEY SENT US, THE ROOM WAS SCRUFFY A BISCUIT HAD BEEN TRODDEN INTO THE FLOOR,SOME WALLPAPER HAD COME OF THE WALL NEAR TO THE CEILING,
THE BREAKFAST HAD VERY FATTY BACON ALSO SMALL PORTIONS, DINNER WAS ALSO SMALL PORTIONS, THE PERSON WHO SERVED US DIDNT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING,KEPT FORGETTING OUR TABLE .
NOT ONE TO CECCOMEND

Worse accommodation I ever have attended

What a sh*t hole as for the Bedrooms I have had bigger and better tents in the middle of a field. The room was so cramped the bed filled 85% of it we had to wait to pass each other to go round the bed, The bathroom was so small we had to squeeze past the Sink to get to the shower. If it was a meter wide I would eat my hat. the only place to sit was on the bed there was no chairs at all , There was no mirror near the sink that could be used , The bedside radio was not working and the tv was stuck on one volume loud.. far too expensive for what we recieved .

Unique Quality: now you have to be joking. its only redeeming point was the friday and saturday night entertainment. it kept us awake long enough so we could go to the bed and fall immediate to sleep. with the aid of a few drinks. the location was perfect for then pleasure beach and the tower. the restaurant food was good and the staff quite friendly.

Most Blackpool hotels charge different rates depending on the time of year, whether your stay includes a bank holiday, the illuminations etc. So it might be best to give them a ring. You might also want to read a few reviews of this place first.

If you put 'edwardian hotel blackpool' into the UK pages only on www.google.co.uk you'll get links to rates and reviews. I strongly suggest you read the reviews before you book.
