Weekend in Blackpool

by Adelle123

Four of us (2 girls and 2 guys in their 20s) are thinking of driving to Blackpool for a long weekend at the end of November. Is the town still really fun that late in the season, or will it be a waste of a long drive? Any suggestions for things to do / places to stay would be well apreciated!
Thanks!

The main attraction in blackpool is mainly the tower and the pleasure beach, sorry to dissapoint you but they both close for the winter on the 6th of november. The night life on the other hand is still open and the clubs sre some of the best in the country so be prepared. The weather as all brits no this isnt the best time to pack your bikini !! so wrap up its cold. during the day you have the golden mile where you can buy blakpool rock and doughnuts. The town centre is open as usual for shopping, The hotels are cheap as this is classed as off season. The lights arn't on either at the end of november. But you can still have a good time. The highligh of your weeksend away will be the nighlife.

I have to agree on taking you winter clothing. But I'm sure that you'll have a great time . The nightlife is great...check out "Funny Girls" for a different evening. Have fun.

Thanks for your help :) Maybe we'll save blackpool for the springtime then, I was looking forward to rollercoasters...

Travel Tips for Blackpool

What not to wear.....

by APIA05

Warm clothing as the weather can change on the coast. When it rains in the north of england, it rains hard so pack a strong umbrella and carry this with you at all times. You can find shops and chemists around Blackpool, so no need to pack items which you may not put to use. Take your camera and snap away, lots of places to see, especially the illimuations around Sept/Oct Bring your bucket and spade as the beach is lovely in the summer time.
