One of the illuminated trams
A friend recommended a hotel in Blackpool at which they stayed at a long while ago for which they mentioned the name. For the life of me I cannot remember what it was called - old age!
I do remember her mentioning that it was owned by the Gordon family and has around 200 rooms, but thats about it.
Could anyone please let me know if you know which hotel this is?

I cant think of any good 200 room hotels in Blackpool the top hotels have considerably less than that
you can check out this website http://www.blackpoolhotel.com/ but surely the easiest solution would be to ask your friend ? a word of warning, Blackpool has changed a lot in recent years
The central pier is the "fun" pier of Blackpool with its Ferris wheel although in former years there were roller skating and shock horror outdoor dancing here!
The central platform was converted into an open-air auditorium, and the pier-head dance area made way for a new theatre back in the 1960's.
