Visit the Blackpool Tower, it's a cut price Efile Tower and you get to see all the oldies dancing in the ballroom. The illuminations are good but only lit in summer, the boardwalk is really corny and the piers are fun. The Rollercoaster is one of the best I have ever been on, again only open in summer. The Louis Tusards wax museaum is ok (not as a patch on Madame Tusards) especially the gory bit upstairs with the freaks and medical misadventurers.
This has got to be one of the funniest places I have been in the UK, very English, very corny, and not very expensive.
